Custom Endlinks for Type R rear and 99-00 civic SI sway bar (56k wait >2 min)
ok after posting these pics on my rear disc thread i've been getting pm's up the ***. so here is a new thread for them.
as you know i made them myself and is for sale for those who wants them. costs 60+ shipping. costs way less than stock endlinks and are stronger. for anyone who wants to know how durable these are i took it up to thunder hill awhile back and no problems. i think i had it on for 4-6 months? not sure.
my stock LX/EX LCA and my endlinks allows me to use a 26mm civic Si sway bar.

im assuming you have an integra. if thats correct yes you can use stock endlinks.
the endlinks i make are basically a strong and shorter SI endlinks.

Just curious...while I was doing the Nissan thing last year, I saw that those guys l liked to replace every possible bushing with these spherical bearings. Thing is, aren't they kind of harsh and noisy for everyday driving? I'm sure most guys don't mind but I'm getting old...I'd like to know what's up so I can take this into consideration before buying a set.

kind of a sharp angle there, isn't it? Check the radial loads of those heim joints, you may want to include a spacer on the top portion to bring the endlink more perpendicular to the ground

I wouldn't trust it, espcially in a hard corning situation, it would probably bend something, but hey, good luck! Heim joints can take side loads, but they are designed to take most of their load radial (pull/push). It is obvious your application is pooly designed.

i guess thats why it didnt break when jumping over the berms at the track. its been months and the only thing it bends is the sway bar like it supposed to.

Sure, duct tape will hold a hood down too at 100 mph, doesn't mean its right (vs hood pins), does it?
WHatever works fro you, good luck with that. The rears should be spaced out at the sway bar, about 3/4 of an inch.

I'm no expert, nor will I pretend to be, Infact I will proudly lay out the disclaimer that I have no idea what I'm talking about, but
the pics show the suspension unloaded, and the endlinks(?) are running at the same angle at the shocks, I think it looks cool....

Well looks pretty nifty to me. I would like to see a long term affects on the applications but i'm sure you don't have that yet with continuious track use. I like the idea and it looks good. So for being oringinal and creating something useful..

used the bracket from a civic si and some steel plates. everything is custom.
to those who like my stuff. if anyone goes to a lot of track events and wants to abuse my endlinks be my guest. i will also offer 100% money back if you break them, even including shipping charges.

call me crazy - but that isn't the same kit as yours? Looks like higher quality rod ends and the proper style bolts that your supposed to use with rod ends? Correct me if i'm wrong. the url also points to 'function 7' ?
I never said i didnt like them.. I think it's a cleaver idea and I like little do-it-yourself custom projects.. I just don't see calling 6 off the shelf rod ends and some bolts a 'product'... A great opertunity for tech writeup.. but not a 'product'..
One last comment though.. (and i'm not directing this towards anyones product) to cheap rod ends folks - make sure they are greasable and of higher quality/tollerences because you'll be replacing them down the road (unless you don't mind a bit of noise..) i'm only saying this because of my own costly **** ups.
