Re: CTR Intake Cam Vs. ITR Intake Cam (SA_SoLcHyLD)
The CTR and newer ITR intake cam is so similar, that you probably wouldn't see a difference on a dyno, and you definately wouldn't feel a difference. The specs are almost identical.

i believe it is the 00-01 ITR cams that are nearly identical to CTR cams.

As far as listed specifications go, '00-01 ITR cams are identical to CTR cams. There is no difference.
The '97-98 ITR intake cam has a whopping 3 degress less duration @ 1mm. Whoopdeedoo.

That's what I used to think also.

Used to? Has anyone actually found a significant difference when measuring? All of the spec listings I have seen indicate they are the same, but I have never measured them personally to confirm.

Yeah, my motor/tranny guy measured them side by side, and the CTR had a tiny bit more duration. But like I said, it not enough to make any difference, they're almost identical. Either cam will do the same job.

Re: CTR Intake Cam Vs. ITR Intake Cam (SA_SoLcHyLD)
I remember reading an MD post on team-integra and he said that teh extra 3 degrees of duration won't make any difference on an engine with a r/s ratio like the b18c's.
One would ask why did honda bother with this upgraded cam? Seeing how they don't even claim anymore power with it on the newer itr's, i would guess that it was designed for the ctr -and they perhaps just used it on the itr to avoid making two cams. Just a thought.

Re: CTR Intake Cam Vs. ITR Intake Cam (BoostedJeff)
i've read, i've searched, i've laboured for hours on this, and the honda-tech consensus was that they are identical. Have we changed the ruling?

the word is, that the 2k+ itr intake cams have the extra 3 degrees of duration. You havn't specified the year of cams in your post, or your reliable source.
