CTR defrost switch wiring
sup HT, i got a ctr climate control in a 98 civic ex. US rear defrost uses 5 wire green plug, jdm rear defrost uses 5 wire grey plug, plugs are diff. 4/5 wires match up, the us has red wire leftover while jdm has black wire left over. i tried to look up wiring diagram to see whats what but all i can find is links trying to sell jdm climate units or 99/00 CC in 96-98 civic guides

Re: CTR defrost switch wiring
red to black did the trick, defrost works fine, i did notice that the hazard switch doesn't light up at all though but its fully functional. i did have to extend the wires so the hazard would reach on the passenger side but if i plug my stock hazard switch in it lights up with everything else(cluster,cc,ect), so i think that rules out my wiring, i guess the bulb could have gone bad
