I hooked it up the same way I unplugged the original. Everything else on the dash dims... just not the cluster. The light is just too much when you add it to my CD player!!!

There are no dimmer capabilities for the EK9. The vent with the dimmer switch was replaced with a vent with a coin pocket instead on the EK9.

well that is a matter of opinion, I don't have it myself but will when I purchase the Tein's with the EDFC, the EDFC fits perfectly in there almost as if it was made solely for that purpose. I saw someone with it at a car show and it was nice, just a good way to mount it for the most part out of first sight.

Worked on it today and got the cluster to dim somewhat... replaced the large bulb on rear of cluster thats also wired to the small bulb that lights the needles from above with a socket with no wires... cut the large bulb from the small and wired it to the dimmer switch which is mounted under the dash as I do have the JDM coin pocket so that I have a clean place to mount my Fields controller. The numbers on the cluster don't dim but the over cluster bulbs dim with the rest of the dash. I assume you can do the same with an EG.
