Re: CTR Cams (Unjockable)
that is not correct... the itr cams were never the same as the CTR cams... CTR cams are better!
actually the CTR has the highest HP to CC ratio of any production car in the world!!!! 190 HP and only 1600cc!
Chew on it!!!!

Re: CTR Cams (saizenb16a)
I don't know but I did a search on this board. I've always thought that the CTR cams were better but since the search, people say that the 00 and up ITR cams and CTR cams are the same.

Re: CTR Cams (Nick_SI)
Dude, the CTR intake cam is the same as the 2000-2001 ITR intake cam. It's the 1998 ITR intake cam that has a slightly lower (I think 3 degrees) lift or duration, NOT SURE which one.. I'd go with the 2000-2001 ITR intake cam, might be cheaper..

Re: CTR Cams (00MRSi)
I thought 97-99 ITR had the same Hp as the 2000-2001 ITR? Wouldn't a different cam add some horse? Maybe not...
What about exhaust cams? Exhaust cam on 97-99 and 00-01 ITR's the same? How about vs. the CTR? Anyone?

Okay folks.... Let's stop spreading bullchit assumptions about these cams.
The 2000-2001 ITR Intake Cam is the same as a CTR Intake Cam
The 98 ITR Intake Cam has 3 degrees less duration than the 2000-2001.
The exhaust cams are the same regardless of the year.
End of story.

Re: CTR Cams (rodrez)
The ITR and CTR EXHAUST cams are the same, but the intake cam from a CTR is a little more aggressive than an ITR.

Re: CTR Cams (Ausmith)
Here you go:
TYPE R though 1999
Int. 240 dur./ 11.5 mm lift
Exh. 235 dur./ 10.5 mm lift
CTR AND 2000/2001 ITR
Int. 243 dur./ 11.5 mm lift
Exh. 235 dur./ 10.5 mm lift
As you can see 2000/2001 CTR/ITR cams are exactly
the same.
