Default Crank pulley tool

I have a b16 in my hatch...is the 50mm tool the one i want or is it a different size...thanks

if you dont have the tool, put your car in 5th gear and get someone to push on teh brake pedal as hard as they can and usually that will be enough to break the bolt free...or get some air tools and a compressor...

sorry dude motor isn't in the car...i've seen the tool on amazon and ebay from $20-30

I checked ebay and they got em for about $26 w/out shipping. I just ordered mine to fix up this engine i'm trying to swap. Somewhat different topic, but will this tool help get the flywheel? I've been using an air gun w/ the 12pt socket and it's not budging.

you can buy the tool at honda, any tool truck or from a mechanic selling his tools, its expensive!!!!!!!


:edit: ya i gots one and it works pretty good, does not work on crank pulleys from 93 coupe ex automatics tho

You can get the tool that you use your half inch drive with for $40 from Snap On or Mac. Or you can get the Moroso tool (which I prefer better) from Summit Racing.

I think my air compressor is 3-5 gallons. It's got two tanks on it but it didn't work at gettin the pulley off. I bought a torch to try heatin but I haven't gotten to that eather.

impact guns dont always work when trying to take off the crank pully..at my dealership when the impact gun done work they use the tool and a breakerbar+ a LONG *** pipe to break that bolt loose

do not heat it up, you expletive up that crank man its gonna cost you, buy the tool, your tank is wayy too small 2 4 gallons isnt any good for that

buy the tool use a breaker bar man
