im about to pick up a 93 hatch for $4700. the guy said hell go WAY lower (almost 4k) now the car has a cracked front windshield, its about 2 and a half feet long on the the lower part on the front windshield. now its not that much of a pain because i didnt realize it till my mom pointed it out while we were sitting in the car(yall know how picky moms can be) well as she was talking all i herd was blah blah till she said "you can use this to lower the price even more". so for those that know anything about this or those of you who have had this happen to them, about how much did you pay to get a new windshield and how much should i make him take off the price?

Cliff notes: buying a used car and has a cracked windshield. how much should i make him drop the price? TIA-

here in canada u can get them done from 160-250 from all the places i checked

aww thanks man, i was hoping it would cost atleast around 3-400 bucks! not that i wanna pay that much (cause im not gonna get it fixed) but that would be 3-400 bucks of the price of the car. also another thing is that the weather stripping is kinda going bad, so is there anyway i could replace that?

well im not sure about up there where youre from, but when i bought my car, it had a cracked windshield also right down the middle and i got the guy to lower the price another 1,000 from asking price

after, i got it replaced with an oem windshield with that sunshade part on top for only 120 with installation

so maybe you can lower the price to 4000 even

as far as the weather stripping, replace those when you also replace the windshield...maybe you can convince the guy to drop the pric a bit more for them bad weatherstripping

thanks man, ima get a couple qoutes from some shops and hopefully i can get atleast $1100 more off from what im going by
