cracked valvecover?
i recently bought my DD a 92 civic dx 4 door with a d15.....the original owner said its leaking bad......i knew it was a valve cover gasket so thats fixed i bought the whole valve cover kit with the tube gaskets.....and i got all the leaking gone now......except for the spark plus tube gets alot of oil in it i dont know what it is could my valve cover be bent or have a crack in it making it do this???.....let me know guys i have silicone on all the bends and yes i put the tube gaskets on the right way.....and could this make my car smoke a bit?

If seeps into where your spark plugs are then yes, that would cause you to smoke because oil is being burned in the combustion chamber and exiting out of your exhaust. Did you inspect the underside of the VC when you took it off?

i had a 92 accord that would accumulate oil into the spark plug cylinders. I could never figure out where it was coming from. I would try gettin a spare VC to see if that could be the problem

I'm having the same issue, though I had water leaked in to the spark plugs instead of oil. Now the car smokes, I was told to replace the valve cover gasket or the valve seals..posted a thread and no1 seems to have an answer..

yeah so here's what's going on... stock motor in this car has plug tubes that go through the rocker-arm assy. instead of beside it like the ex model or later dx models. this is the same with CB7 accords too. becuase of this design the tubes not only have seals at the vc seam but also between the head and the rocker-arm assy.
to fix it you have to pull the VC back up and then pull the rocker assy. loose. there are four o-rings you'll want to get from honda (not even sure if you can get these aftermarket) and replace the old ones that are likely stuck to the rocker-arm assy.
(some TIPS: be sure to get the one bolt from the distributor. you want to come up easy with the rocker arms and make sure that you leave the bolts in the assy. things can get crazy misaligned if the bolts are taken out.put a bit of grey RTV on the spots near the cam at either end of the head. you'll see where it was there from the factory. then torque the rocker-arm assy. back down and put the VC back. no more leaks!)
oh, if you need them i can get you those torque specs tomorrow
