Crack in my chassis
hey i have a 2000 honda civic si and it has a big crack in the chasis on the driver side from a collission. the crack is about 18 inches long and 1/4 inch wide. what will happen if i keep on driving it. i carfaxed it and the accident took place in 2001. so it has been like that for the past 6 years. the chassis does look a bit warped, but if i keep on driving as is, what is the worst than can happen? thanks

Don't do that. For one thing it's not too cool. Secondly, if something happens to the other guy they might start asking you question to see if you knew about and if you disclosed it.

It could quite possibly fracture a lot more and leave you in a horrible car accident. That's something I wouldn't chance, get it fixed!

my boi's EK had alil rust on engine bay by the strut, he thought its not a biggie not a month latter the whole strut popped out just cuz of 30$ parts and 1hr labor. Now he needs whole new front end. So like Ej1_Sleeper mentioned just get it fix before something major happens.

^ something very out of the ordinary happened to your..."boi"
I have a ****-ton of rust all over my entire car and it holds up fine...
To the OP...get the **** welded. We dont need to see pics - what can we do? A good body shop will be able to compress the sheet metal around the tower and seal it back up.

use the IMG tags like [IMG][/IMG] and post the URL of the image from a site like photobucket between them
Also you need to take it to a shop for an estimate....
