Could an exhaust leak cause my car to run rich?
Ok so like right now I have a small exhaust leak between the collector and the cat becasue the donut gasket is fried up. Lately it seems like my motor has been killing alot of gas and has been running rich, it also backfires sometimes when i shift.
Now I was reading that the backfire is probably some way caused by the exhaust leak, with the oxygen getting in there and so on. But could this also be the cause for my car to be running rich and or kill alot of gas?
Im not getting any codes from the ecu, and the timing is set perfect. (this is on a d15b if it matters much)
