Correct way to go low?
A while ago i cut my springs and was slammed but then recently upon getting an alignment supposedly my rack and pinion was rubbing against my frame? is there a way to fix that?

Proper lowering springs have higher tension rates than stock springs. If you just cut your stock springs, you're running lower tension on a lower car. The result is a bouncy ride, lots of bottoming out, and rubbing where you shouldn't be...especially if you slam it.
If you use lowering springs (coilovers or progressive), the tension is high enough to keep this from happening, resulting in a smoother, safer ride.
That said, if you slam the car too much (even on proper springs), you're probably going to rub something, so keep that in mind. Camber adjustments are a must...you may also have to roll your fenders depending on the offset of your wheels.

Make sure to get lowering springs and aftermarket shocks.
Your stock shocks can't handle lowering springs so they will blow out sooner or later.
Then go get a 4 wheel alignment right away.
Camber kit is a waste of money.

+1 on the PIC's. Just installed some and they blow away all the other coilovers I've had. Cheaper then alot of others also. If you contact the vendor through the classifieds he does a GREAT deal on them. Plus the shock threads down into the mount so you can slam your car without losing any shock travel. teh secks!
