computer chip
do those computer chips on ebay that go on your air temp sensor really work .
Also I plan on sending my ecu to JET performance to get there chip put in it . does this really do anything to help and how much

Short answer, no.
Long answer, still no. They trick your ECM into sending more gas to your motor without adding more air. This makes your car run richer and in turn makes you slower.

Don't bother. If your car is heavily modded enough to need actual tuning (which if your planning to do anything to your car I strongly suggest), you need to get something which you can actually tune. Not a chip with a preset fuel and timing map not specifically designed for your application. I suggest a VAFC or similar and dyno time.

Go to someone with a dyno and a wideband 02 sensor and let them do it. Messing with it yourself is asking to lose power and possibly to do damage to your motor.

I don't know where Oxford is, but P1 in Charlotte is a reputable shop that can tune it.
