Complete ITR Changeover. Phase II - Prep for the motor.
Suspension is done. Getting ready for the motor. Today I dropped the little D15B8 out the bottom. The interior is out to make the wiring easier. I plan on doing the wiring correctly by routing additional wires through the main harness. It's a pain in the ***, but better in the end - much cleaner.
Tasks left to do:
-pressure wash engine bay
-pressure wash motor
-add the 3 necessary wires to the harness
-drop the motor in
-clean and install the interior
-go have fun!
Some pictures from today.

Car looks good, coming along very nicely. Is that your garage? If so, I wish I had a workspace like that.

Thanks guys. Yeah I love the white on white - looks very clean. Can't wait to drive it. I haven't had a street car all summer . Honda parts order should be here this week, but I have to go to Toledo for a race next weekend. I'll probably have it done the weekend after.
illphil - yeah that's the "shop". The main bay isn't shown, but you can fit 3 cars comfortable in it. Heated and air conditioned

Car is looking nice, so is your garage! Nice paneling. Looks like a good place to hide in the winter.

my only question is how do the rims look with the champ. white rims?? do they look that different, or did you (or do you plan on) repaint the car or rims?? either way it still looks great. </TD></TR></TABLE>
I was wondering how much the CW rims would stand out, and as you can see from the photos they do not stand out that much. The car does have some dings, and it has had a really cheap paintjob on the front end. Eventually I will have it repainted in true CW - maybe over the winter.

I was going to get an EK, and I had actually found a silver one I liked, but I was worried that it had some body work done previously. If I was going to spend $7,000 on an EK I wanted a perfect one and in my timeframe I couldn't find it. This little CX came up and I couldn't pass it up for the money. Besides my race car is an EG so if I need parts I do have a donor car.

Probably At least that is what my girlfriend keeps telling. We have an agreement right now that this one HAS to have rear seats and a full interior. I try to remind her that rear seats are useless with the Mugen seats in the front - you can not access the rear no matter how skinny you are. Oh well.

BTW.... I had a dream last night that I got the motor in and it wouldn't start. Once I got it started the car wouldn't go anywhere. It revved, but when I put it in gear it was like it was making 5whp and couldn't pull the car.
Not sure why I had that dream - I've done a dozen swaps and they have all run great from the first turn of the key...

why not just throw in the stock pass seat.
