The filter is going to be the main difference on most intakes. I *think* I remember that being pretty pricey.
The K&N filter is what I run on my Greddy turbo kit, so if you want to spend the money on it I would imagine it's a quality product. I have no firsthand experience, but everything I've ever gotten from K&N has been a good product.

how about a stock induction tube with the appropriate sized pipe cut for a coupler adapter with a k&n on one end and the stock air tube on the other.
