Cold Air?

Re: Cold Air?
Personally I like short ram for a couple reasons.
A: zero chance of hydro lock.
B: can see your intake/filter under the hood
Performance wise I dont think much diff either way...

Re: Cold Air?
Better for what?
All motor and dyno queens will tell you that a short ram with a velocity stack is the best. It's important to tune it to the right length as well. 3-4 inches makes a big difference.

Re: Cold Air?
rainy days and commuting- short ram...
dry hot days and commuting- cold air...
but really its a lot of personal preference neither is really guna get u all kinds of horse power on a stock motor.... just think of it this way a motor will always run best in colder weather depending on where u live and how cold it really is... but the 100 percent guarantee ur motor will run best is when ur at an altitude that has 14.7 atmospheric pressure...

Re: Cold Air?
short ram
way better, quicker response in lower rpm and launch/start
i got tired of my short ram and just put my stock assembly in except i removed the resonator
seems like its about the same except a little quieter than the short ram

Re: Cold Air?
On Ef/Da I like to run a middle of the road intake(no cold air/filter in the bumper) but no short ram(air filter sitting next to the hot engine) I run a 3" pipe from the stock piping to the left corner of my car so it sit's beside the battery(blocking some of the heat)
just my 2 cents
