Coilover/bushing noise issues
I've been experiencing some quite bad noises from the front right AVO coilover. Before I had them fitted I was experiencing some squeaking from one of the bushes on the front right side, although I'm not entirely sure which one. I took it to a garage and he said it was dried out, but applied some grease, but was only a short term cure. The bushes have covered 38k miles.
Could a dry or split bush exacerbate the noise, particularly as I am running quite a stiff setup with the damping turned to the highest.
The sound is amplified when the damping is turned down, but the noise is insconpicuous sometimes when it has been raining.
I can only describe the sound as a loud springing, creaking/groaining noise. It sounds as though the damper is being put through alot of stress when going over uneven road surfaces, small dips and speed humps - it can be quite embarrassing.
If anyone has any comments, please help. Thankyou in advance.
