my 2000 si is flashing 9 long time. I think it is the vaule canister but just to be sure can you guys put your input..if it is so how do i fix it.........thank you!!

its most likely a evap leak around the gas tank, feul cap, evap line leak, gas tank, something in that area.

okay it is "90 Evaporative Emission Control System Leak Detected" right??

if it is the gas tank than how would i check where the leak is?

i would put a new gas cap on first. its cheap and usually the problem. it goes off and on every tme u get gas. so it gets worn out. if the light comes back on take it to a shop that has a smoke machine and have them smoke the evap system. when they tell you whats leaking go home and fix it.

yea, i got a 0bd2 scanner from autozone and it read p1459 or something that. basiclly got to do with the gas tank area, so i change the gas cap and after the light is gone.....thank you tho!!
