Code 9
My engine light is flashing #9 and the manual (Chilton Del sol) says it is the cylinder no. 1 position (cyp sensor). I have a b16a sirII. Now that is the distributor (HONDA dealer) I have been told. What should I do now? Replace the entire distributor or go through and fix it. OH, here is the catch... The check engine light came on and I shot for codes. Got the # 9 and then reset the ecu. No more code. Drove it for 2 days and no code. Came to a light and was at idle for a long *** time (******* light wouldn't turn green) then boom, CEL comes on. Came up 9 again. Reset the ecu and gone and hasn't come on since. Been about a week. The last thing I did was change out the iacv. Also since the last reset, my car has been idling perfect.... (knock on wood). Well, should I just wait? Do you think a spark plug could be bad? Wire??? What should I do??? Any help would be great.
Peace
Peace
When my old B16 had the same code, I kept resetting and putting it off, until finally one day the distributor died completely. Car wouldn't start at all. Right before it died, my car sputtered a lot, so watch out.
