Default Code 8 TDC sensor + Code 22 Vtec Pressure help

So i just did my first engine build, d16z6 and on the first start it fires up then dies and it wont stay running unless i give it gas. The dizzy and all the sensors came off the engine that was inside the car that worked fine. How do i go about fixing this so i can get my car running again?

sometimes just hearing the code we know where to go.

but for most of the time you need to bust out the helms and actually look at the flow chart and go from there.

tdc is in the dizzy.
vtec pressure could be the hg on upside down not letting oil to the top.

many many variables.

alright, i redid the timing belt. looked like i was off a tooth. fixed that. all new belts. tryed starting it up again. same thing, engine starts up then dies.

i replaced the dizzy with another one. same thing.

still getting code 8 and code 22.

anyone else have any imput?

maybe it has something to do with the cam. Its a Comp Cam 59300.

god the last thing i want to do is take it to honda.

do you still have coolant coming out of the head?i think i read that..i would go with a previous suggestion and say the head gasket is on backwards. ha ha that sucks 50 50 chance right. take the distributor apart and look for obvious problems. sometimes a little screw on the rotor button falls off, trace all the wires from the harness make sure therye not touching or broke
