code 8, need help
keep throwing code 8 car takes about 4 seconds to start crank is showing perfect timing, replaced the dizzy with the one from my old motor that was in perfect shape and had no codes but i put it in this motor and reset ecu and started it up same thing and only come on when car is running any ideas?
i already seached 100 times people are to lazy to post their resolve

It's a sensor inside the distributor used along with the CYL and CKP sensors to coordinate fueling/timing events.
To troubleshoot, you will need a multimeter.
Basically you need to verify that the TDC sensor resistance is 350-700 ohms (distributor disconnected from main wire harness).
You need to make sure that either of the two TDC sensor wires aren't shorted to ground (with the distributor still disconnected from the main wire harness).
You need to make sure that the wires connecting the TDC sensor to the ECU aren't shorted either to ground (still disconnected).
You need to make sure that with the harness connected, you have the 350-700 ohms at the actual ECU connector. .
