Code 41 appears after Primary Oxygen Sensor Heater replacement
Hi There,
I have replaced the Primary Oxygen Sensor Heater on my 98 civic with a universal one, after I had code # 41.
Now, as I start, when the Engine is cold, the Check Engine Indicator lighs, then after I shut down the Engine and restart again the problem disappear. It happens only on the first start, when the engine is cold.
What might be the reason for that? Incompatible Sensor?
Please Advise.
Thank You

have you tried not shutting it down when the CEL comes on? try resetting your ecu too, never hurts to do it.

I have already tryed not to shut it down but the CEL is not disappearing. I have also tryed to reset the ecu, but it's the same.

go check to see if the cel is still throwing the same code then.

Thanks,
I have replaced the sensor to a new Bosch type and averything looks ok now, it seems that the first one was not operating right.
Thank you once again.
