Code 21 Wont go away
i just bought a BRAND new vtec solenoid. i had my vtec solenoid wired to a switch, i recently tried to wire it directly to the ecu into pin a4 and i cannot get code 21 to go away. can anyone help me. is there anyway i can take out my check engine light bulb so i can pass smog?

Re: Code 21 Wont go away
lmao, you cant take out the bulb, because it needs to light up when you first start the vehicle... a missing or broken bulb alone will make you fail smog,
idk what code 21 is, but fixing the problem is the only way

A code 21 is low voltage to cam position sensor. A lot of times these fail when you put in a new vtec solenoid. If you are running an obd2 engine, use the cam position sensor off of a 98-01 Prelude. If you are running an obd1 or obd0 engine... don't quote me, but I am pretty sure a cam position sensor off of any 92-95 grand am 4cyl will work. Good luck bro

21 is for the Vtec Solenoid.
Op, are you sure you have it wired correctly? Have your Vtec Pressure Switch wired correctly also? The pressure switch isn't going to have anything to do with the 21 code, but it's code is 22.
As stated, have you reset your ecu? All you have to do is disconnect your battery for about 10-15 mins and then hook it back up.

Incorrect. 21 is CPS. OP, did you wire in a resistor on your pressure switch? Wire in a 10ohm resistor and it should do the trick.
