Im not positive if they have a break in period on them. I have a act 6-puck and heavy duty press. plate and its fine. The light wieght flywheel though will cause you to slip the clutch more to get it going though and you that may be what your experiencing.

maybe the guy who installed got grease or oil on the pressure plate and didnt spray it down with brake cleaner...if thats the case it will burn off eventually

go to the stock flywheel. What it is, is when you get a light weight flywheel. Where it doesnt have as much wieght it looses its own inertia and when you let out the clutch it brings the rpms down faster, hince why you slip the clutch more to get it going. Its a common thing with some motors (b16 a lot) when you go to a light wieght flywheel.

i have a Competition Clutch lightweight flywheel and stage5 clutch w/upgraded pp and i never had a problem with it slipping and ive been on the same clutch for 2yrs...i also had to break it in for 500+ miles before beating on it....maybe the guy you bought it from didnt break the clutch in properly

Re: (hotrod99)
Its not a matter of the clutch its self slipping, but im saying the inertia difference can cause the driver to slip it more to get it going. But that may not be the problem here.
