CLUTCH question automatic 1995 HONDA CIVIC lx sedan
HI, I am looking at this used car and the woman said sometimes it is hard to get the gear past reverse. for me it felt fine
is this a sign of anything >?

lol... i mean for the gears... what is it called? if not a clutch... Gears?
I thought you would understand when I said "reverse"... it's not a 5 spd it IS automatic, but the woman says sometimes its hard to get it passed reverse... make any sense?

Well, you never know..
If it goes into reverse easily for you, but hard for her.. then there must be a difference between what you and her do.
Or maybe she doesn't press the button on the shifter all the way in.

i hope thats all it is, I can't find a mechanic to come and look at it.
anyone else have any ideas? could it have something to do with the tranny?

Usually Reverse is on a seperate gear.
In an auto it is called a torque converter, which replaces the clutch disc in a manual. So it takes the same job just called something else, so you shouldn't get flamed.
Check the converter, than it could be the reverse gear is going out.
