Clutch question???
My clutch is going bad, and someone told me that if I replace my clutch then I should replace my flywheel. What exactly does the flywheel do and why should it be replaced when the clutch is??

you dont really have to replace your flyhweel unless you want like a performance flywheel and clutch.HOWEVER you should resurface your flywheel when you get a new clutch.

If you are going to replace your clutch... you probably want to resurface your flywheel or just get a new performance flywheel.
You may want to replace water pump.

the clutch disc is squeezed between the flywheel and the pressure plate. If you have a nice new grippy disc and pressure plate with a worn and hot spotted flywheel, it's kind of pointless.
Usually costs between 20 and 30 bucks and takes the machine shop only minutes to do. Talk to them ahead of time and see if they can schedule a time for you to bring it by, so you're not out of your car for more than a day
