What is wrong with an OEM Honda clutch?

What is your setup?

You don't really need some big beefy aftermarket clutch with a mild NA setup. It's just A) a waste of money, and B) unnecessary stress on the rest of the drivetrain.

Im last night I was driving and I jumped on it from a stop and it winded out and hardly moved so the clutch was sliping bad. Its stock now that why the third link is a OEM one but I had wanted to buy a turbo in the future so I figured if I was going to take it out I might as well put a decent one in. So I wont have to break it apart again also I just figured a bigger one would last longer than a stock and hold up better??NO??

i have a Exedy Stage 1 Organic Racing Clutch. Its not overly aggresive and works well for everyday use. The clutch pedal is only a little bit stiffer which is nice. I can get one to you cheap maybe $240 +ship everyone else sales for $300+

A six puck clutch is going to engage faster and grab harder, but it will not last as long. A six puck clutch will not even last half as long as a stock clutch.

Personally, I prefer a performance clutch to a stock clutch in any car because I hate the mushy feel of a stock clutch. I like the sharp engagement.

Is this a Exedy clutch you are talking about or is it someone trying to sell a p.o.s. as a exedy? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...33730

Oh damn they make hella replica parts it seem now a days.

Off the site

AUCTION WEBSITE PURCHASES

Exedy OR Daikin Clutch parts that are sold on EBay are always of great concern to us for following reasons:

There are many companies in Asia, that manufacture counterfeit Daikin Products and even go to the extent of copying our logo onto their inferior product. Please download the PDF above for more examples and what to look for.

Another reason, the Exedy sports clutch is engineered specifically for sports & performance applications. The standard replacement product is often substituted and sold as a performance product. Boxes & packaging are changed to hide the fact, so, for instance, its possible that you are really purchasing a Daikin Standard clutch and it has been reboxed into a sports clutch box to mislead you into thinking you actually purchased an Exedy sports clutch. Our recommendation to you is that you look up our website http://www.Daikin-Clutch.com and choose a distributor who carries our product. They are listed under Distributors / Exedy Sports & Performance Clutch Specialists. If you have any difficulties choosing a distributor please let us know and we will point you in the right direction.

All in all, we absolutely do not recommend purchasing an Exedy sports clutch on any auction website.

It makes it suck that you cant even trust **** off the internet and everyone wants to make the same **** as another co and try to sell it as someone else. Perfect example the Mugen strut bars on ebay. I cant believe ebay lets them get away with that selling them as real.

I wouldn't trust the ebay clutch. if you are really that broke just get an OEM ebay clutch the one that's for like $112 it uses exedy disk and pressure plate (same as oem) and a different throwout bearing and pilot bearing. Good stuff if you ask me
