clutch pedal spring
so i just replaced my clutch master cylinger in my ej1 today. it helped with the pressure in the clutch. like the feel of the pedal. i dont know if its me but i think the clutch in the ej1 feels horrible. so me and my freind was wondering if you could find a pedal spring from like a accord or any car. that fit properly would this help the feel of the pedal and is it possible??? thanks

I doubt it would help the feel of the pedal, because the majority of the feel comes from your pressure plate. With the clutch unhooked from the pedal you can pretty much make the pedal hit the floor by just tapping it with your foot. The spring is meant to make it return all the way out after the clutch is engaged. Nothing will change with a new spring really.

I have a small bungie cord on my clutch pedal because when we replaced my mc, sc, and clutch it just still didn't feel tight enough for me. I like having the extra springiness from the bungee cord.

...are you serious? seems a little extreme, but whatever works?

so a new clutch and pressure plate will help the feel of the clutch?? so any chance of a stronger spring give more springiness then??? would a spring out of like a accord or prelude work???

You would need something like
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by DanW »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I have a small bungie cord on my clutch pedal because when we replaced my mc, sc, and clutch it just still didn't feel tight enough for me. and not a spring, to improve the springiness or whatever. A new pressure plate would MOST definitely do it. It would improve drivetrain hookup well too. Ive driven a few cars with stage 3 clutch kits in them, and those suckers are HARD to press down. Mines all stock and fairly easy.

Re: clutch pedal spring (sohctodohc)
i've driven 3 motors with the ACT heavy duty clutch:
GSR / LS / d16z6
after this i promptly bought one for my hatch . IMO one of the best "bolt on" upgrades. period.
