Clutch line problem

Clutch line problem
I have a b18c hose ( number 2 in the pic ) and I have a clutch line from a 94 civic ( part number 1 ) but they will not thread into each other. Part 1 is to large, the Japanese fitting was still in there and indeed its smaller, the head was a 10mm and the one on my car is a 12mm. So do I just need the rubber line ( part #2 ) from a 94 civic ? Do they use different sizes in Japan, or even on the b series engine ?

Nah not really, only a wiring issue and this problem. Which I have not read about any of these problems on h-t and I don't think a lot of people are gonna know the answer unless that experienced it themselves.
If I don't get a few sure answer, I'm gonna go to the dealer and pick the line up for a 94 civic.
Oh and its a b18c engine

Nah not really, only a wiring issue and this problem. Which I have not read about any of these problems on h-t and I don't think a lot of people are gonna know the answer unless that experienced it themselves.

I am thinking if I buy the rubber line for a 94 civic it would have to fit, just hope its long enough, I think it should be though.

I had a similar fitting prob on my swap. I just went to autozone until I could piece together enough fittings to make it work. Cost about $9.

After going to the dealer I thought about that, but the problem is the fitting that should go into the rubber hose, is to small for the hydraulic line, it would not even fit over it.
The one hardline coming from the trans is a 10mm, and the hardline on the chassis is a 12mm, see the 10mm fitting is to small to even fit around the hardlines.

The car was an automatic before.
If anyone sees this in the future, the rubber line has to be from a 94 civic, either acura or in Japan, there hardlines are smaller on the chassis.

Do you mean what car ? If so its from a 94 civic, if you mean where its coming from, its coming from the distributation block.
Basically Acura or Honda in Japan uses smaller hard lines or something.
I bought the rubber line for a civic ( part store was able to get it in before Honda ) anyways I still think the rubber line has 2 sizes, because I tried switching it around just for the hell of it and it would not go on. So basically the chassis hard line has a bigger fitting then the transmission hardline.

It seems that the B series' slave cyl fitting (i guess you bought a GSR's slave cyl instead of a Civic's cyl) is smaller than the Civic's, detail I personally find VERY strange and unusual in Honda parts, but I really don't know. So if you bought the 94 Civic's line and it didn't work, you're gonna have to make 1 out of the 2 lines (GSR's and Civic's), GRS's tranny fitting, and Civic's chassis (hardline) fitting, that's not too difficult to do anyway.

No I bought the 94 civic rubber line and it works perfectly, the slave cylinder and hard line running from the transmission is from a b18c ( I tried to save the customer some money, since the slave cylinder and the 1 hard line was in perfect condtion ) But I guess the civic transmission is the same way because it worked. But I think either the Acura, or Honda in Japan uses smaller fittings on the chassis.

i had the same problem before, luckily i have both usdm and jdm laying around thought i could save a few minutes by reusing the jdm one but i was wrong

See I never even thought about it, most of the swaps I do either have the lines attached, or are cable transmissions.
I searched on h-t and never found a thread on it, so maybe this will help others
