Cluster question.
I'm not really sure if this thread belongs here, but its almost tech worthy I suppose. If you buy a new cluster, do you need to have the Odo adjusted by the dealer to the miles on your car? I ask this because what if the cluster that you get is not the mileage on your car and you can be accused of mileage fraud when you try to sell the car.

Re: Cluster question. (WongFeihung)
there was a how to on how to change the mileage but for obvious reasons (people doing rollback jobs) it got deleted.
I have an auto EX cluster in my VX (one of the needles broke) and I never bothered setting it. I just wrote down what my VX cluster was at and just do addition/subtraction. If I sell my car, thats what I'll tell them. 200k (actual) as opposed to 220k (on cluster) won't make much of a difference anyway

Anyways, remove the speedometer from cluster housing. There's a metal pin that contain small gears above the number dials. Carefully pry it out to allow free spinning of the dials. Match dials to specified mileage and make sure everything is straight before placing back the metal pin.
