Default Climate control issues

I was having overheating problems because of one leaking heater hose, so I replaced all the hoses. the last one I replaced was the one for the Heater Control Valve. then I went to test the a/c and heater and teh bar slid all teh way over to the hottest heater setting, but when I slide it back it cant go past the middle.

The handle on the HCV moves, I even unhooked the cable that turns the handle, and it still seems to be jammed, if I force it anymore I know it will break. now I can move the cable in and out a few inches with my fingers, but I cant use the slider on the climate control. what could be the problem? car is a 94 ex

take the cable and push it further back (toward you) the clip it to the unit. then it should be fine. i had this same problem and i actually figured it out yesterday when i was installing my new a/c system.

Kind of off topic but do your guys' climate control backlight turn off and on intermitently? sometimes itll all be fine and other times only half will light up?

Pretty much what mine does. So replacing the bulbs will correct this?
