Default Cleanin an Engine?

I have an engine that i want cleaned inside and out, so the block looks new, and the inside is clean. Is there some type of process that does this that i could go to a shop and ask them to do?

Take it to a machine shop and have them hot-tank it. Should be pretty inexpensive.

do it yourself... a good learning experience, but if you have a shop do it i would have them just reassemble it only, you can take it apart really easily, but i dont no of a cost for someone to do this

If the block, head, valvecover is still on, just take it to get Sand Blasted. Unless if you really want inside the motor spotless too, then like everyone said tear it appart and put it back together.

well its a b17a1 fully built for boost (low comp forged internals, pyr racing head, etc). The engine has been sitting for almost 1 year and a half, and i kno the outside of the block is dirty.

I think there might be some trivial **** in the head, like a gnat or two. The block is 'o-ringed and sealed' for boost w/e that means.

So considering what engine it is, and the amt of boost ill be runnin do you think there would be a benefit to hot-tanking it? And since the head is 'sealed' will i be able to get it off the block?

well take the valve cover off and the oil pan and see what u find, if the metal looks good and there isnt any gunk, no need to have it hot tanked, just get some simple green and go at it

oh yeah the metal is like chrome, there are ike a few dead bugs tho, like gnats.

I havent seen the inside of the combustion chambers.

What does o-ringed/sealed mean as far as removing the head goes?
