civic wont start *already searched*
i just finished swapping my 94 gsr motor into a 95 cx hatch, and it wont start, or even turn over. that battery isnt dead, and we even tried jumping it, when i turn the key the battery light is on and all the lights dim a little. dont hear the fuel pump turn on or anything..... anyone have any ideas? what about that resistor box, should i leave that plugged in or do i not need it w/ the gsr motor? any help would be GREAT

Did you check to make sure the ECU is plugged in. Check all the grounds like the one on the tranny, valve cover, starter, etc... Check to make sure you have all the sensors on the intake manifold correct cause I've seen some people put them backwards and it won't start. Check to see if you have spark cause you could have a bad distributor(coil out or bad ignitor). Did you replace the timing belt before installing the motor?

ok thats what i thought, i had it out originally but plugged it back in to see if that was the problem...ill check those things, the car and motor were both running fine before i did the swap - the motor came out of another car of mine, so i didnt think it could be the mian relay.. anything else i should check for?

will do- the batterey tested at 13.7 so i dont thin kits dead - what might have caused the main relay to go bad? it was fine when i started the swap...

haha yes i pushed the clutch down.... all the cables are tight, but i just remebered something. after being up till 6 am i had the 2 hot leads going to the fuse box in the engine bay switched....tried to start the car - nothing. then we switched them to the right way and nothing. so would that have blown out the relay? or messed up something else? all my grounds are connected except for the one from the tranny to the block, i have yet to get one on there.

Grounds are important! I've heard of cars not running because of just one ground. Check all grounds and relays.

sorry (tranny to the frame)* just put one on.... anyone know if switching those two hot leads to the fuse box could blow the relay?

Check your wiring, then check your wiring again...
Start signal is only interupted by the clutch switch.. unless it was a A/T -> M/T swap.. There should be no reason the starter don't work.. Check fuses, and grounds from chassis to body/frame.. Sounds like you have some work ahead of you cowboy..

just connected the tranny to frame ground.. which i had forgotten to do and crimped on a new female clip for the starter ground. started right up.... but now i have idle surge... i switched to a single stage skunk 2 manifold, and took out my charcoal canister. im sure i have my lines screwed up somewhere. does anyone have some pictures of their setup or a diagram? any help would be great the aicv is fine btw - came off my gsr manifold that worked perfectly

do that and set your timing.. if it still surges, you have a vacume leak..

Re: (Gadget)
yeah, all thst **** is fine, the tb and all sensors came directly off my perfectly running gsrt... al i did was switch to a blox intake manifold, and removed my charcoal canister, plugging up the two open vaccum nipples on the itm and i ran a line from the pcv to a vac nipple on the itm as well... does this sound right?

sounds like a definite electrical box problem, like a fuse box or something, because if the fuel pump's not kicking on, u can't just out the fuel pump because it's not turning over and it would w/o the fuel pump, so it's probably something in the grounds or something
