Civic Wing/Spoiler
Hey quick question. My civic has a bad oversteer when I hit a turn going 60+ (freeway to freeway ramps and things of that nature.). Around 80 I start to lose the back while the front stays planted (Even when accelerating out).
It seems I'm in need of a spoiler, but I know how you guys get about spoilers, so basically my question is: What is good? It's mainly for autoX, but also I don't want 800 lbs of drag on my car when I try to go 60mph. I don't really care about being called a ricer or whatever, as long as it works and it's light.

i don't think a spoiler will help. i have the same problem with my car. what kind of suspension mods do you have on your car? i think lowering it will help the turns.

Re: Civic Wing/Spoiler (xxcivichickxx03)
I have kyb agx shocks with eibach road race springs. I'm not sure of the exact rate of the spring, but they are quite stiff, and lower about two inches. I have front and rear strut bars and tie bars underneath.
I'd acutally say its between a slip and a hop. The back end doesn't come off the ground, but it very suddenly seems to lose weight and slip, then catch, then slip again.

i'd say get a 99SI front sway and a ITR rear sway w/ beaks kit.
also get an alignment. they should tell you if something is wrong.

Re: Civic Wing/Spoiler (ransack)
dont forget to check your tire pressure! Basicly what I have found is the go with close to the maximum in the front then a couple psi lower in the rear, but thats only what works in my car. You will have to test different settings to see what works.

Re: Civic Wing/Spoiler (civicrights)
I started chalking my tires on my ride to work and back. I'm going to autox this sunday, so I'll be able to test it a little better then.
