Do you know if the guy cut any wires? If not, then what he probably did was open the plugs up and switch the wires. The easiest thing to do would be to open them up yourself and put them back the same way they were, should not take more than 30 min- 1 hr. I went the other way around, i put a gsr cluster in my civic, it wasn't that bad, didn't have to buy plugs, just switch the cables. BTW, there is a link somewhere in these forums, do a search. Hope this helps. Also, why do you want to get ctr, if you don't mind. I'm asking because the gsr's look nice cause the needles light up.

If the guy didn't do a shitty job and cut any wires, it's a simple process of reverting the wires back to the correct pin to work with an EK cluster. Use the link in my signature and work yourself backward.
