Re: Civic Type R (civicHX)
Thats all the 2002 Si needs...a nice ground effects kit! Stupid Honda gives us the downgraded, worse looking garbage!
Nice car though, I would buy one(CTR).

Re: Civic Type R (owen_the_soyboy)
looks like ***, i think the 99/00 was the bast hatch ever! i also love the rex too, but for a hatch 99/00. they should have stuck w/ something more like that and added more power! if i want something that looks like a focus i'll buy a focus or better yet a damm daewoo. woowoowoo

>>heavy - BAD
95% stiffer - GOOD<<
I'd rather have a light weight "wet noodle" any day...
In order for my EK hatch to have the same power to weight ratio as this behemoth, it needs 132 hp and 111 ft/lbs of torque. Unimpressive numbers for an unimpressive car...
BTW, going by the weight of the ZX3, I'm guessing the SVT Focus will weigh at least 150 lbs less, and it's already rated at 10 HP more. Dunno about the torque numbers though.

Re: Civic Type R (fsp31)
yeah the new ctr is a terd! heavy and underpowered. and what happened to hondas hp per liter #s? (b16- 160hp new ivtec 2.0- 160hp). looks more like an american 4 banger, bigger heavier motor with no hp gain just a little extra torque. they really are loosing my intrest.

Re: Civic Type R (fsp31)
Hate to say it, but by the specs.....
the Focus SVT OWNZ the New Si!
170 hp vs 160
7300 rpm redline vs 6800(WTF is up with honda here?)
145ft-lbs vs 132 ft-lbs
6speed vs 5speed
Factory body kit, vs no factory body kit
No doubt in my mind that the new Si will be better quality, but the SVT will most likely be all around faster.

WHAT THE HELL are you talking about.......NO FORD will ever own a Honda.
We will have to wait and see however, I believe that the SI will come out ahead in every category compaired to the SVT Focus.

Re: Civic Type R (Spade)
I have to agree, the only category ford could beat honda is in looks. Both cars are ugly as ****, but the focus is the "looker" of the two. I love the interior of the new SI and the shifter is pure genius on Honda's part. I also love the new torquey-*** K20 motor that Honda is producing. However, I despise the short chubby kid look of the new SI, and the weight and suspension...don't get me started on that ****.

>>NO FORD will ever own a Honda.<<
Honda has basically ignored the voice of the import performance community, but Ford, Mazda, Subaru, etc. have been working their collective asses off to try and get a piece of this action. It's only a matter of time before Ford (or someone else)will most certainly "own" Honda in just about any performance arena.

Re: Civic Type R (fsp31)
I ment FORD, there quality sucks, sure they can build power (Mustang Cobra) but the reliability of that power sucks! I have made the mistake of owning two FORDs and never again. The other manufacturers (NOT AMERICAN) I can see passing Honda, but, I was talking about FORD.
