Civic turbo kit information
I am just woundering if I can get some info on a recommend turbo kit. First of all I have a complete stock Civic SOHC D16y8 (1998,Manual).
I intersted in going boost with a SOHC D motor. I was looking into a Ededlbrock & Greddy turbo kit. My alternative is to practically build the motor. Like some low compression pistons, act clutch, camshafts, retains & retainer springs & ect. I have already have a build all motor HB with a B-series motor, so now I just want to try something diffrent. I have about $5000 to spend on this build. I am not trying to be the fastest SOHC. I just want something to do ask another hobbie and to spend my money and it is worth it.
This is what I was thinking of doing. Buy the edelbrock turbo kit, remove the piggy back and the intake manifold w/injectors & get some 440cc rc injectors, get a p28 OBD1 ecu and get it chip @ xenocron.com or phearable.net & also a OBD2A to a OBD1 Jumper harness.

Re: Civic turbo kit information
why would you not use the edelbrock manifold?
use the manifold it comes with, and the injectors if they'll support your HP goal, and then get the P28 like you said instead of the piggyback.
And it needs to be more than just chipped... you need a tune.
