civic shakes!
ive always had a problem with my 98 civic shaking, especially at high speeds. its not a normal shake. i just recently put 18s on and the problem was magnified. wheels are balanced, camber kit and alignment are good, what could be wrong?

How the f-u-c-k did you fit 18 inch rims on your Civic? You must be on stock suspension and rubbing like a ****.

rotors make the car shake while braking, not while just rolling. Since you said the wheels/tires are balanced, I would bet on axle or tie rod, but since you said it got worse with 18's, it makes me think tie rods.

yeah i got the same problem...and i was also looking to see what it might be...i was thinking tie rod ends or CV joints. but yeah, for me it's only on the right side.

but with warped rotors, the car would shake while braking...he says it only shakes while he's goin, or at high speeds.
Also with warped rotors, the brake pedal would vibrate when he hit the brakes..

These are not for 100%, just general cases and what it is most likely. Your new rims, do they have the right hub size?

Yeah, see it sounds like something isnt aligned. Did a shop put your tire/wheels on? Make sure you have hub rings, are using the rotor screws, The wheels are balanced and straight. Tho if it happened before, the hub could be bent, like are your lug nuts all torqued the same? They should all be 75-80 lb-ft, but if its more or less, so long as its consistent on all 4, or that could cause a vibration. Is your car lowered? what kinda suspension? has it been in a accident?
