civic is not starting question?
This morning my car was not starting and I pulled my codes and I got Ignition Output Signal missing or defective ignition output signal which is a code 15 does anyone know what this mean or what I have to do to fix this. The car as always has hard time starting up and taken a lot longer than it should have normally especially in the cold. I pulled off the cap and inspected the rotor I believe it may be my igniter in my cap and just wanted to make sure and rule out all other options before I go and buy another one. Also my car car is throwing a code 20 as well and has been doing this ever since i got the car could this be a possible reason. I have no idea what causing this to happen any suggestions would help.

Hey Rob, just to elaborate on his situation...he's had the car for 3 months. It's a stock B16 motor.
Normally, when an engine cranks & usually cranks for about 1-2 seconds & starts but since he's had that car it's always cranked for about 3-5 seconds then started, which indicated to me a weak spark.
Today after being hard to start, when it finally did start, it died & is now throwing the code 15. We're just trying to rule out other possible problems.
Also just a side note, the prior owner of the car had the distributor (ignition timing) set all the way closest to the front of the car. (which I used to think was advanced but know I think its retarded) Anyhow, will that effect the longevity of a distributor? It's just never been setback to factory because we don't have a timing gun handy.
