Re: civic headlight conversion (5th Gen)
Good quality conversion work is usually pretty pricey. Besides the cost of the lights themselves, and materials, it's the labor that will get you. It's going to take a pretty good amount of time to get the lights to sit right, and match the stock locations so it doesn't look half assed. When my friend did his back in 99, it cost around $1500. Of course it varies from shop to shop. Just remember, you get what you pay for

Re: civic headlight conversion (rodrez)
$99 and $1500??? which one guys? i mean, $99 dosn't sound like a price you would pay for the conversion. i'm assuming there is fabracating to be done to the bumper, hood, and fenders am i right?

96 front end $150
96 civic radiator support $35
cutting the plastic piece covering the windshield wiper motors FREE
a full day with a grinder and welder PRICELESS
its the cheapest conversion u could possibly do if u do it urself.... of course that doesn't include bondo and paint.... plus it didn't turn perfect because i can't really cut that straight and it was my first time using a welder... but its a learning experience... and YES 96 civic front ends are that cheap around texas, cuz nobody wants them.... l8rz

Ok, you will need the civic fenders to mate the ends to the del sol fenders, civic rad support, civic headlights, civic bumper and civic hood. and your all set. just have the body work finished and painted and its phat. been done. not to much $$ either... its all just parts..

Re: civic headlight conversion (cnydelSolHybrid)
I might be putting a 96 front end on my 92 soon. I am getting the headlights,grill, hood,and fenders for $40(friend did a 99 on his 96)
I will still need to find the core support and ****.
But yeah it looks good on civic never seen one on a del Sol before. But it would be best and you would save a whole lot of money if you could do it by yourself.

1500.00 is too much...it'll run from 600.00 to 1000.00...i know someone who had an ITR conversion for 800.00 here in SD...and a friend of mine had done a CRV headlight conversion on a TACOMA...he said he paid around 400.00 for it...
