Default Civic hard to start when gas low?

does anyone have this problem, does it mean something is letting go? when my tank is about 1/4 full it takes about 3 seconds to start, full tank or half tank, starts right up less than a second.. is this a sign?

The lower it is the more strain it puts on the pump too, which can cause premature failure.

turn the key to "on" for 3-5 seconds before starting and it will not have that problem (which is normal)

watch for that fuel pimp

On a serious note, keep a little more gas in your car. You don't want the gas to freeze in the lines. I know they put additives, but my brother's EJ1 would not start and he had 1/8 of a tank left.

Just turn the key to the "on" position for a few seconds to prime the pump, that way you dont crank the ish out of it.
