Civic is giving me problems

Civic is giving me problems
I have a 98 ex(d16y8), and just the last couple days it started running like ****, its got some basic bolt on cat back intake plugs and wires, and well when im low in the rpm's like 2000 to 2500 it hesitates and the it gets better but if you get on it it starts to hesitate? any ideas, im lost
