Ok, i have a honda civic Dx that is a 2000. I want to get atleast 250 horsepower out of it. I have a few ideas of buying 2 mufflers off of ebay and making a custon dual exhaust. what do you all think of that idea? Next im thinking about having a 50 shot of nitrious of the stock engine. is that a good idea or a bad idea. last i want to put to subwoofers in the car a sum 18 inch chrome wheels and a intake. im trying to get into car shows for the looks but im also goin for speed. most of the cars around here a civics with mufflers and intakes and then integras with the same thing. i jus still want to be faster then them. so give me sum ideas and also post pictures of your cars on here also. my email is bbayton88@yahoo.com
oh yea what is the biggest size rim i can fit on my civic and what is the widest tire i can fit on it

Swap or turbo the d, if you turbo it you need another IM for better flow.

Why don't you just buy a Lexus if you wanna pimp it out. If you want too go fast big rims should be your last concern. You need to decide if you wanna be a racer or a ricer, b/c you can't be both. Just remember speed never goes out of style.

250 horespower is going to be tough without a ton of money, a turbo, or a new motor and a turbo. A 50 shot plus all of those bolt ons will only get you to somewhere around 180 hp or so. Subs and 18 inch chromies are going to slow you down substantally. A custom dual exhaust is pointless, as you only have one exhaust bank and wont move more air than you can push through a single 3 inch exhaust. I would'nt go any larger than a 16 inch rim, but you can go upwards of 18s with up to a 205 as far as tire width.

anyways, you've got a lot to learn i see. my advice: spend a good bit of time on here before you buy anything, and don't create a thread everytime you have a question. look around, search, read, etc. before you know it, you'll probably won't want to waste $$ on 20 inch spinnaz and subz, and you'll be building a fast car.

but just to get you started, you should start reading up on motor swaps or a turbo for your engine.

oh and jun ek9: what color was that hatch???

2001 camry gunmetal....i miss it i had so many suspension mods on that car it just pissed me off really bad. you guys can see the 4 point pillar bar in that pic. i had eibach sportlines, soon to be jic magic-flt-a2's. comptech rear sway/tie combo, i was waiting to put the si front sway in, and i have carbing front tower, and lower tie. rear the carbing rear tower bar too..i was so depressed when it was totalled, i didnt even bother taking pictures. the rear tie bar snapped in half.

well, first of all....if you're going to drive fast, you're going to expect an accident, unless your car is totalled or your repair bill to gonna go up since you've made your car's parts harder to find. second of all, if you want your car to go faster, there's no point in adding even more weight to your car, that makes it slower. so choose if you're going to put it on a race or on a show. based on my opinion, i think it's pointless adding more weight to your car and waste even more money on buying new parts to boost your horsepower.

P.S. to those who said he's gay. that's just the most pointless reply and comment of all. how old are you people? if you can't give any practical suggestions in helping, why do you even bother post? plus it's against the regulations of usage of this forum.
