i have a b16a2 which i am goin to build. im just working on getting all the money to get the parts but i am still kinda new to all this... still learning :/ but for internals i was thinking ARP head studs, ARP main bolts, Darton sleeves, Eagle H-Beam rods with ARP rod bolts, ACL rod bearings, ACL main bearings, Wiseco Pistons, and i wasnt too sure on the cams i was thinking just itr cams or something like the Skunk2 turbo camshaft stage 2, and i wasnt to sure on the valvetrain i was thinking the Ferrea Competion Valvetrain Package from online??? and i wasnt too sure about the bore cause it will be sleeved but can you guys please help me out here cause i dont wanna put all this money into it and do it wrong.. let me know what you think

ok so youre just rebuilding it i gotcha.

i would highly suggest buying the how to rebuild honda b series engines book.. insane amount of info and step by step guide from tearing it down to rebuilding it.

everything you said sounds great, id find a good machine shop do get the block decked bored ect.

yeah i actually heard about those books on here before and there is a machine shop here that has everything and they are familiar with this... i already have the motor pulled just gotta wait a few more weeks to get everything but im really only not sure on the cams? bore? and if i should get that valvetrain kit that has the springs, retainers, spring seat locators, locks, valves, valve guides, valve seals??? or could i just go with like springs and retainers from skunk2?

if it hasnt been bored yet then just go one size up, probably .020" over and get the pistons accordingly. and the valvetrain kit is up to you and your price range and such, both would be good. and as for the cams youll have to just look into different ones and do some research, i wouldnt get too aggressive of a cam for the street though

yeah cause its gonna be used at the track as like my hobby.. but its gonna be driven on the street more i only drive it on nice days during the summer but yeah i looked into the cams and they arent too agressive and they can be used for a daily driver and i figured if im gonna be putting the money into it i might as well just get the valvetrain kit for a little bit more than just the springs and retainers

what hp goals are you searching for. I would build based on HP. What turbo as well. This seems like an overbuild...

if you never built a engine before i would highly recommend have machine shop assemble the head and block for you. few incorrect steps can make you very unhappy. or have a friend who knows how to built a engine help you out. assemble a engine isnt very hard but it does take pacient and knowlege. this isnt a lego lol.

i remember my first oem rebuilt d16 i built, forgot measure bearing clearance and crank was turned. well lets say it didnt last too long lol

Your going to spend an insane amount of money then go all out and get it done right. If your getting it sleeved mail it to Darton or a qualified Darton installer. Then let them tell you what piston size to get. So they can do the final bore to the engine to match the pistons. You will need to do calculations to figure out what bore and stroke and compression your going to shoot for that is why I said let them figure out what you need. Then you can get the head and assemble the rest yourself. Get a book it is better that way or a manual if not you'll send 7k+++ down the drain pretty fast. These engines are dogs but they blow up easy if you don't know what your doing

Thats a fine turbo for some pretty good numbers. But you still did not say what whp. I have a built motor with stock sleeves and a big turbo (precision t67) which is fine for ~400 hp and been driving it for coming up on 2 years with no problems. Sounds like you want like 500+......so I will ask again what HP goals

I don't see how these Honda's blow fast...maybe I'm not driving hard enough
