Default City lights on EBAY! NO DRILLING!

I found these, they seem pretty straight foward and simple, but will they work??? There for 9003 bulbs so i think maybe....add some amber bulbs and your set

They've been posted on here before and seem to work. I think the others were LEDs and in turn would just be a very small concentrated area of light. Those appear to work a little better possiby.

I think the output is a little bit overrated on what it puts out. I doubt they will work as well as advertised.

its some guy with access to those flat rings and sticks on the standarb bulb holders that u get at radioshack. i guess if ya cant get those pieces, 13$ shipped isnt bad. I mean if ya think about "adding city lights" to a car as a mod or somethin, thats a pretty good price.

haha, reminds me of a guy that talked up his "short shifter mod." either way though, i doubt they'd perform badly, but i still wouldnt recommend em just cuz city lights i think can be done up alot nicer (if youre into that sort of thing). get better bulbs so you can get better output

I have the same type in my headlight housing. Here's a pic to give you a general idea of how it'll look like.

They don't come with extra wiring or switches, so just go to Autozone and get a cheap foglight harness by Pilot (model PL-HARN2) for $4.99 + tax.

They'll explode like rice kernals, making the exact same noise when someone installs a 4" exhaust system on their otherwise stock D15B7 motor.

Had them....but when I changed out the bulbs for amber, they melted the plastic isolaters in the bulb holder and shorted out.

I like my DIY City Lights with prelude sockets anyways.

When you guys talk about 'City Lights" they are lights that run a lower brightness at all times without having to have your headlights on right?

Well up here in Canada every vehicle on the road since like 1990 has "Daytime Running Lights"

Would you say that is the same?

If so I wonder how difficult it would be to add DRL to a US Vehicle?

No....DRL's are your headlight bulbs on at half brightness.

City lights are small auxillary bulbs that usuall match your corner bulbs. The are intended to help you be seen by other cars in the large cities of japan and Europe where the ambient lighting from streetlights and signs etc is brighter than normal.

Don't DRL's peform the same function?

They give your car added visibilty during the day when your headlights are not on.
