Christmas Day FUN!!
Here is what I will be doing on Christmas Day since I have no family within 14 hours of me.
back of engine...tell me why there are extra passage ways
hole that had to be fixxed (outside view)
Inside view
Endyne Middomed, higher wristpin located pistons and eagle long rods
relocated bearing stays so that i can run ITR or GSR bearings instead of the LS, B20 and B16 bearings
hmmm....what are those??? have you seen those in a b20 lately?
the bottom
also have GSR block girdle going in....
power you ask?
well this setup with mild port and polished b16 head that was opened to 84.5 mm with toda c's, jdm itr header, itr intakemanifold, spoon itr tbody, and power fc netted me 220 and 160....
dyno sheet
i will be reworking the head and building the bottomend at .020 clearances for a "looser" engine.
enjoy...and merry christmas!!!

Re: Christmas Day FUN!! (chad)
Very nice, looks like you have a fun christmas day planned. Too bad you don't have any family around you... Oh well, you can come on H-T on Christmas day, we can be your home away from home

yeah.....block with get washed with high pressure hose and degreaser....then hit the parts cleaner then high pressure water...then brake cleaner....
all 14 mm hex plugs are removed to make sure nothing is floatin in there this time....
for those that don't know....first build was nice....but snapped a rod.
at first diagnosis i thought we had oil starvation due to high G cornering (summit point t 6-8 t9 and t10) rod snapped on front straight.
after i tore the engine down, oil passage on crank posistion 5 was backed up with ALUMINUM FRAZ....about 1/2 inch thick and packed tight....it is no wonder it spun the rod with no oil(oil starvation which we knew but didn't know why) going to the rod!!!
oil pressure guage will be a requirement from no on ON ALL ENGINES THAT GO INTO MY CAR!!!!

looser means LESS FRICTION....thus freeing up HP's....yes you can build it too loose and also too tight....
have been building mine at .015 clearances....but i'm going to try .02 this time!! woo hoo....should free up 5-10 ponies
