Default Chipped Ecu

I've been looking since 8 this morning for the the answer to this question. What are the pros and cons for a chipped ecu in a b18c?

more fuel more air.......maybe no rev limiter depends on the program you purchase....no speed governor...also you can get vtec to kick in sooner or later but like i said earlier it depends on the program your running..

i got a chipped ecu from j-k-tuning.com id allows ur car to be tuned... basically... as in laptop tuning make adjustments to fuel to air ratios.. disabling some of the blocks for example rev limiter, or speed limiter. what ecu u do have? i gained powered in my car that was NOTICEABLE and it just rides so much better and my fuel economy went from 27mpg on a b18c del sol to 32.5 so... in the long run ur gonna get ur money back just from these gas prices

Is it stock? If so, you dont need one unless you are going to modify down the road.

right, it's not worth it unless you're putting on something more than just standard bolt-ons, if even that.

made a differenece in my car with intake header and exhuast... its giving u the full power out of those mods... so u cant say getting ur car tuned even though its stock is a worthless... i will say it is kinda unnecessary for the money but if u drive 3000 miles a month like myself... u want the best tune possible
