chip on sleeve block
took apart a b18b1 today everything looked fine but when i took apart the head and block, i noticed a slight chip on the outer wall of cylinder sleeve #1 located on the front when looking at the motor. will this be a problem? Its not half way close to the inner cylinder wall. Any suggestions. Motor was running fine btw.

Re: chip on sleeve block
it may be salvageable and it may not. your better off having some one weld to the sleeve to fill the chip then have the top decked to flatten the surface flush with the rest of the block. the indian glue sounds like some jerry rigging and may not hold to the heat. im sure if the block is sleeved then your going to be trying to put alot of power and stress on this motor. not something id use jb weld or any cold weld or glue to fill the void. goodluck pics would help us out more to understand the problem and how bad it is.
