its a 98 d16y8 motor, to replace my d15b7....i just wanted to show you a pic of my new engine i got about three days ago from a guy here on honda tech...i'm planning on turbo, i will post up my steps when i start

No its not !!! Its a breather where the PCV valve is located. See the blue thing on the hose that goes into the black box thats the PCV valve .

I dont think those motors came with knock senors.....thats a oil pressure sensor if im not mistaken (above the oil filter)

yes i believe they do have a knock sensor...
my mistake before, im just use to seeing them on b-series having a black housing...whoops

The PCV valve is just a one way check valve that allows blowby gasses in the crank case to be "re-released" into the intake manifold, but will not allow intake air to enter the crank case.
Serves same purpose as EGR valve: Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve....emission puposes
The big box is the collector, and that is NOT the PCV valve into it...that is just a connector. The PCV valve is visible from above the intake manifold, which presses into the that hose goes up.

motor, tranny, ecu, wiring harness (i have no clue on how to hook it up?), axles, engine mounts, and engine comes with 85,xxx miles

well it achieves the same goal (lower emmissions) but it doesn't serve the same purpose...
pcv vents oily fumed air from your crankcase to your intake...
egr recirculates overly rich exhaust gases back to the intake to burn again...
