I found this yesterday at my local Pull A Part junkyard. I'm assuming it to be a factory option, since all 96-00 already have the square holes for the clips to mount this bracket. It's to mount the factory Honda disk changer. I was going to nab it anyway, but then my wonderful wife had the great idea to use it to mount an amplifier since I'm getting ready to upgrade my audio system and throw a subwoofer in the trunk. I've already relocated my battery to the trunk, and this bracket will mount my amp right above my battery, which I think will look super clean and neat, and save me some $$ when I go to buy power wire for my amplifier. The bracket mounts to the roof of the trunk, for those who haven't seen one. I'm going to strip it and rattle can it pink as I'm doing with my rims and other odds and ends on my car. I'll drop pics down below and keep this updated, as after I paint it and then after I get it mounted and all set up. Pretty cool right?

another cool idea would be to mount on of those little under seat subwoofers in the bracket and then you have bass and space!!!

No I didn't grab the disk changer. It had been out in the rain and was missing the piece the disks actually went into. Still might have been cool but oh well... After tons of wire brushing last night because air craft remover doesn't seem to do so well in 30 degree temperature I got it primed and painted, and did a little touch up paint this morning. I already have the subwoofer I am going to use, it's an old school Rockford Fosgate HE that I bought with a box several years ago for $20 because the foam was deteriorated. I just got around to reforming it last night, it's just been sitting in my closet collecting dust for the past few years. Lol. I'm going to drop pics of everything below. Now in search of an amplifier that suits my needs AND will fit in my mounting bracket somehow .lol. I'll keep you guys updated when I find one and thanks again guys!

I do apologize, when uploading these pics my phone just kind of threw them in random order, but there's pics of the primer, the paint, the subwoofer, and the box it came it. the round thing I painted pink in the pics is a metal surround/grill that goes on the sub. Pretty cool right? Lol
