Ok so a couple of days ago I was trying to add an air fresher pin to one of the ac vents on my car. It broke through and the parte fell back. That meant we had to take out the entire black part where the stereo and the A/C controls are. After much hard work, losing small parts and having to go to the pick and pull to find a new vent part, we fixed it with one that was the same size but not the exact same so we used super glue. Looks good and normal nonetheless. Well that was earlier in the morning. I tested it out by turning the car on(but not the engine) just to check that the stereo, air conditioning and the power outlet worked and they all did so I was happy. Well I just tried turning the car on to go somewhere an would you believe that it won't turn on?

The check engine light comes on for a little bit and the SRS light comes on. What could we have messed up? I mean the battery is new so it's not that.

The starter doesn't crank the engine?

Twist it all the way but it's not starting. Won't even try. The car was working perfectly before.

Again, is this a no-crank problem or a cranks-but-won't-start problem?

During the work, did you disconnect or remove anything in the engine bay?

Have you checked the clutch pedal safety switch and the rubber stopper it presses on?

hmm this is like mine only it actually is cranking

It WORKED!!!! All I did was yell f*ck my life really loud and hit the dash. I tried and it started up fine! YYYYYEEEEESSSSS

I took it for a spin around the neighborhood. Turned it on and off 4 times. It's working gret again. Guess all it needed was a good smack to get the parts back in form

I really appreciate the fact that you guys replied and showed care over a complete stranger's problem. From deep down, thank you.(btw no homo lol)
